During the first lockdown of 2020, I decided to create a game for my family to play online. A kinda murder mystery, escape room thing, all done through Google Forms. It was horribly time-consuming and geeky to put together, but I sent it to a few family and friends, and they loved it so much I decided to share it!
To my surprise, at least 250 people have played it so far, either as individuals or in teams via Zoom. Work groups, church groups, date nights, youth groups, pub quiz teams, families… and apart from one person who got angry and swore at me for wasting hours of their life (!!) most people seem to have enjoyed it!
It takes about 90 mins to 3 hours to complete, is appropriate for all ages, and is completely free. Though if you do enjoy the game, please consider sharing it with others, and making a donation to my chosen charity, Refugee Support Network. (And thank you to everyone who donated so far! We’ve raised over £500.)
