Project Weekender: The Empowered Life

A few weeks ago I spoke at Project Weekender, a 24-hour conference for students and 20s passionate about seeing God move in their generation. It was so much fun – and I was delighted to discover I wasn’t even in the top 10 oldest people in the room! The event was hosted by my good friend Tim Simmonds, and I won’t tell you where he ranked in the age ratings…

The theme of the weekend was the Holy Spirit, and it was a privilege to share the stage with some of my favourite preachers – Andrew Wilson, TJ Koleoso and Damilola Makinde. I spoke in the final session on the theme of ‘The Empowered Life’ and we ended with a time of ministry, in which many people were filled with the Spirit, received and stepped out in spiritual gifts, or experienced physical healing.
